The Community Resource Center is being developed as the Information
and Referral Hub ( Call Center) for the Harrisonburg/Rockingham
(and surrounding) areas. We are developing a comprehensive database
that will include all local human service providers (to the best
of our ability!) Our web site will serve as an easy access to
this list and will eventually have different languages available.
We anticipate opening to the full community this Spring, 2005.
The Community Resource Center will also serve as a central clearing
house for volunteers and for agencies needing volunteers utilizing
the current Chamber of Commerce web site as a starting point.
Other services will also become available over the next few years
to help local non-profit agencies in sharing resources and information
as well as incubating new agencies.
